Arnis Seminar

Come learn the basics of Arnis from Boston Arnis Club Guro (Instructor) Steve Sison. Arnis is a Filipino martial art that also goes under the names Eskrima or Kali. Though typically thought of as a mainly a stick-fighting system, Arnis encompasses impact weapon, bladed weapon, and flexible weapon techniques as well as empty hand fighting skills.

In this seminar, you be introduced to the basics of: footwork and angles of attack; single stick strikes and flow drills; double stick strikes and flow drills (sinawali); empty hand applications of Arnis.

Mr. Sison trained in the art of Arnis directly under the late Guro Grande George Brewster, the founder of Brewster Arnis. He is currently an instructor in the Boston Arnis Club under Guros Peter Freedman and Jim Marino.

Recommended gear
Comfortable work-out attire (t-shirt and dobok pants are fine)
Bring 2 rattan Eskrima sticks if you have them (there will be extras on hand at the school also)
